Gatsby then decided that he wanted that lifestyle. Through the same want he could achieve other things such as his love interest Daisy.
Jay Gatsby purchased this mansion to be nearer to Daisy Buchanan, an old flame for whom he still has feelings for and would like to sweep away from her husband who historians have discovered cheated on her frequently. He bought it after the war and now he wilin.
In The Great Gatsby cars are an important part of the story and are an important symbol. Cars are a symbol of death because there are many car accidents in the story that leave people dead. These car accidents are a very important part of the plot.
